Carlisle Events,
one of the world’s largest presenters of collector car, truck
and motorcycle entertainment, is the preferred auto show destination
for enthusiasts and collector car hobbyists worldwide!
For almost four decades, Carlisle Events has
been a staple in the automotive community. Our passion is legendary
to those who have made Carlisle, Pennsylvania their "Automotive
Hometown." We host or are part of 13 seasonal automotive events,
ten of which are held at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, two at the
Auburn Auction Park in Auburn, Indiana and a singular event at
the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. These
events draw enthusiasts from all over the world.
Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals
The Carlisle Import & Kit Nationals were red carpet worthy as
the international automotive world was on display. The passport
program returned as did live music, kids and family activities,
special guests and seminars as well as a few firsts; a downtown
block party and screening of "Truth in 24 II." There was also
a Sunday only teen driving school. Most importantly, the weekend
highlighted a bevy of cars from all corners of the globe, thrilling
nearly 20,000 enthusiasts.
The Friday Night Block Party made day one of the weekend unique.
Enthusiasts patronized local shops and restaurants for live music
and an eclectic mix of fare, while the movie screening at the
historic Carlisle Theatre saw Audi display its best, both on screen
and on the streets.
The Saturday excitement included autocross, a slew of seminars,
scenic cruises and of course the cars. The showfield hosted cars
from over 33 different manufactures and the passport program returned,
rewarding attendees with prizes by doing what they already do;
walking the grounds and enjoying the vehicles on display.
Sunday wrapped the weekend with additional seminars, autocross,
live music and family fun just to name a few.
Carlisle Ford Nationals
The 2012 Carlisle Ford Nationals Presented by Gumout Performance
Products will showcase multiple vendors, special displays, reunions,
a downtown parade and a one-of-a-kind gathering of Carroll Shelby’s
name sake, the Shelby Mustang.
The weekend launches Thursday night
with a kick-off party then moves full speed ahead on Friday at
7 a.m., continuing through at least 3 p.m. on Sunday. Attendees
can browse the Swap Meet, Car Corral and Manufactures Midway,
while witnessing American history sprawled facility wide. The
nearby Carlisle Expo Center plays host to free test drives of
the latest rides from Ford and all drivers with a legal and valid
license can participate.
Honor Carroll Shelby at Carlisle too
with 50 years of Shelby American. As part of the gathering, at
least 400 cars will be positioned just steps from the Manufactures
Midway.
In addition, Saturday night will feature the second annual
Downtown Ford Parade and Street Party. The parade will launch
from just outside of the fairgrounds and move south on Hanover
St., before cars spread out and park in and around the square
of Carlisle. Live music will greet enthusiasts at two separate
locations on the route.
Additional activities include a burnout
competition, beauty contest and entertainment for the entire family.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy the event with the Kids at Carlisle
activities center, the Women’s Oasis, drag racing at Quarter Aces
Drag-O-Way, autograph sessions, industry guests and so much more.
With multiple activities, the 2012 Ford Nationals will be an elite
Ford-branded event that is a must attend for everyone!
